  • a
shudder racks through the body, and someone's fingers press warm against the
palm of the hand, the small of the back. there is a sense of urgency embedded in
the peace of the night, as eyes open to a world of expanding fields,
rolling away to a horizon that is semi-circle shaped, smudged by a softened
    ring of grey-blue clouds.

    we
are sitting at the edge of the horizon on the soft grass, watching the sky as stars slowly wink into
existence in the space of a blink. the night has become balmy, and the breeze
that combs through the hair has the scent of the sea.

    and
there it is again. that great and infinite loneliness.
